many wild gyrations is indicative of all the wrong attributes.

I have witnesses the gyrations in a few countries before>
  1. Brazil late 70s.
  2. Nigeria middle 80s
  3. Indonesia late 90s.
None of them ended well and were preludes to worse things to come.
It could be happening
  1. The PBOC does not know what it is doing
  2. Every man for himself and PBOC is trying to keep the appearances
  3. Hong Kong trying to milk the outflows

The scary version:
The China projects abroad are starting for money and they are trying to get money to keep the foreign projects going at any rate and the HK guys are gorging on the cuts they are taking...
