Paul,

Re: "Any chance that DEC and Intel have been negotiating the DEC Fab 6 sale BEFORE DEC filed suit against Intel?"

This could be a possibility ... I contended all along during the
lawsuit that DEC wanted to get rid of their Fab. The DEC Fab has
been a "blackhole" for money for quite some time. DEC needed to find
a way for someone to purchase the Fab and guarantee Alpha production.
If I had to pick a company to do this and keep my customers happy at
the same time ... I would have picked Intel. I seriously doubt that
the Fab sale just "all of a sudden came up" after the lawsuits had
been filed ??!!

In regards to Intel Fab numbering ... all I know is that Intel insiders
are referring to that facility as Fab 17. My understanding is it is
a very nice site and the building was designed/based on an Intel-like
Fab (how convenient).

Make It So,
Yousef
