Pregnant Phoenix Mom Drives Off Home Intruder With Gun

Posted at 10:10 am on January 11, 2017 by Bob Owens

A pregnant mother awoke early this morning to the sound of shattering glass in her Phoenix home. Instead of sitting there hopeless pleading for mercy as Shannon Watts and Moms Demand Action would prefer, she armed herself and opened fire to protect herself and her children.

A woman and child are okay after a suspect attempted to break into their South Phoenix home overnight.

The incident happened just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday in the area of 35th Avenue and Baseline Road.

Police say a woman woke up to the sound of a man breaking into the back window of her home. The woman grabbed a gun and fired in the direction of the man attempting to gain entry.

It does not appear the suspect was hit by the gunfire, and the suspect fled the scene. It was not immediately known if the suspect left the area on foot or in a vehicle.

Beloved 78-year-old Texas Landlord Takes Out Would-be Robber

Posted at 12:43 pm on January 11, 2017 by Jenn Jacques

A 78-year-old Texan man threatened by a would-be robber drew his weapon and fatally shot the suspect trespassing on his property at 5:30 a.m. Monday morning.

The homeowner’s son was in the residence at the time of the incident and said his father didn’t want to kill anyone, but felt he had no choice but to defend himself and his home.

The shooting also awoke neighbors in the north Houston neighborhood.

“When I laid down, I hear go, ‘Pow, pow, pow, pow’ real loud, and then I heard commotion, like voices,” one neighbor said.

Neighbors say the homeowner owns several properties and is well-liked throughout the neighborhood.

“I’m glad that our landlord is OK, ’cause we depend on him a lot,” said one of his tenants. “He looks out for us, he makes a lot of repairs around here, and he works very hard.”

Police questioned and released the homeowner and no charges have been filed against him at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

So, is Jesus’ resurrection a fantastic fact or a vicious myth? To find out, we need to look at the evidence of history and draw our own conclusions. Let’s see what skeptics who investigated the resurrection discovered for themselves."
