If you guys want a stock that will take off in the food industry and is cheap, take a look at LTUS. They own Sweet Tomatoes salad bar restaurants. There is only 51 restaurants open and they IPO'd in 95 at 9 bucks and now it is at 14 1/2. Book value is almost 8 bucks and they are growing profits at 20+% and revenues around 30%. Insiders own 10%. Beware, very low float and miniscule volume. There sales are $90M and the p/s is around .7. Not much coverage, but I went ahead and bought in the last trading day at 14 1/2. I bought it to put away and not to trade. The reason I bought is I went to one of their restaurants here in Ft. Lauderdale, and let me tell you, it is GREAT! I think this is a stock I can get into BEFORE it is discovered. After visiting the restaurant about 3 times in 2 weeks, I then started pouring over the sec documents(they just posted their 10-K on 12-29-97). It looks like a great long term investment, and I just wanted to alert some folks. Get this, there isn't even an SI thread yet! Hope you enjoy looking into this company if you are looking for a potential big stock in a few years.
