I typically do that because I don't want a partial position as a swing trader. But if I was an "investor" building a position, it wouldn't matter to me so I probably wouldn't select that option.

I use TD Ameritrade and Fidelity. I usually get great fills from Fidelity so I primarily use market orders with them. With TD Ameritrade, my fills are not as good as they are with Fidelity so I primarily use limit buy orders with them.
What broker(s) do you use?
I do all my trades online. I never have interacted with a broker or done trades via telephone since the early 90s.

I love the Internet. The Internet has saved me in so many ways.
