Dale: NSCP/YHOO - different animals, though the valuation rationales are similiar. I like to compare the valuation of NSCP and YHOO because IMO, NSCP has the advantage of being two businesses; software and internet. I expect NSCP and MSFT Explorer to both begin moving in on the search engine companies (and AOL for that matter) by incorporating more features on their sites (improving personal pages for example). What scares me about shorting some of the second tier search companies is the possibility that either MSFT or NSCP will acquire them, especially MSFT. I think the line between AOL, NSCP and the search engine companies will blur, since ultimately each will have to make advertising support operations. Each will compete to hold viewers at their sites much in the same way networks do.

Best wishes,

Timoteo
