Let me throw in a couple of additional items in.

UMC wouldn't buy back the stock unless it was a good deal for them. Therefore the stock was probably sold at a discount. S3 perhaps could have done better by waiting 6 months for an IPO. They needed cash, above and beyond their borrowing limits and they needed it now.

Let me suggest a bold 2-fold plan. S3 will announce a stock buyback plan to bolster the obviously terrible condition the investor relationships have sunk to under GJ AND then announce the licensing of all the applicable Cirrus patents. I think the timing of those announcements has to occur in that sequence. Investors first, Cirrus second. The market will buy into the new leadership at that point.

If Terry is going to attempt to divert attention away from the lawsuits and toward the future, this is the way to do it.
