This ex MI5 woman said the CIA is "out of control." Slanted info is the symptom. She said, "They [CIA] have got to remember that they are there to serve at the pleasure of the president and they are there to serve the interests of the American people ...so they really need to be put back in the box." Machon has a personal agenda (see her Wikipedia entry en.wikipedia.org ), but I think she's got the measure about right in this case.

Is this surprising? The Sunni rebels have taken every page of the Palestinian media playbook and applied it in Syria, right down to staging photos, eg blue helmet guy.
