On the other hand, its a big world without too many PCs and price elasticity in poorer countries should be great. In this country big PC growth occurred when PCs came down to $3000. Unquestionably, the utility provided by a $1000 PC today is far greater than what we got for $3000 making them even more compelling for people to stretch to afford.
If the internet is available worldwide and functionality and user friendliness continue to increase, it seems reasonable that a majority of the world's households could own a computer like appliance in 15 years or so. This crap we hear of PC saturation is typical of people who think of the Far East as Massachusetts and the West as California.
