Looking at the chart of FNV, one can see the inconsistency of seasonality patterns. Most years you do get some strength in February, and then later, going into the summer - but certainly not every year. It's OK to consider seasonality, but only of one has additional reasons as well.

FNV has been strong, and the trade so far is doing well.

Sold a few FCX March 17 strike16.5 puts. Wouldn't do it based on seasonality alone, but I'm familiar with the stock. If filled, that will add to an existing position.
