witter ROASTS Trump For Taking First Weekend As POTUS Off
January 17, 2017 Samantha Politics

Twitter Takes Trump To Task…AgainIn a recent interview with the London Times, Donald Trump stated that he would be taking his first weekend as President of the United States of America off.

“…[D]ay one – which I will consider to be Monday as opposed to Friday or Saturday. Right? I mean my day one is gonna be Monday because I don’t want to be signing and get it mixed up with lots of celebration.”

Of course, many find the idea that any president can take a weekend off to be absurd. It’s particularly strange for a brand-new president. And it’s even more strange, considering the many promises Trump made on his campaign trail to roll up his sleeves and begin work not just on the first day but from the first hour he took office.

Then again, he promises to deport around two million people within the first hour, followed by the removal of all gun free zones, and start building a wall along the border of the United States and Mexico the first day, so perhaps it’s in America’s best interest that Trump does take that first weekend off. And the following week. And the weekend after…

Trump’s Day Off Treated As A Total JokeTwitter reacted to Trump’s admission that, following his inauguration, he’ll need to take a few days off in order to not get “mixed up” when signing undefined things that need the presidential signature amid “lots of celebration,” with sharp hilarity. And there’s always something fitting about Twitter taking the Tweeter-in-Chief to task.

That’s a lot more American than what he plans to do as president.
