Hello Richard, I posted this on the 2nd and not sure if you saw it.... Happy New Year... Somewhat OT but perhaps one of you can assist. I have a 56kflex gvil modem connected to my quadra 800. In the modem control panel there are only two gvil items available for selection: Global Village Gold/Silver/Merc and Global Village Platinum/Gold II I am currently set to Farallon Netopia 56K and things seem to work but can you tell me what I am missing? Also, it seems impossible to mute the irritating connection sounds coming from my modem Is this all because I have an antique Mac? Thanks
