Sony and NextLevel in agreement to develop HD TV.

Sony to buy NextLevel shares at $25/share. Just heard it on CNBC.

The price action of IATV looks real good this morning. I expect that some of this is buy backs after the wash period. We should see more of this for awhile.

I would be very cautious about projecting earnings outward based on the number of settop boxes estimated for mfgr. The family or individual subscriber to the service is what matters, not the number of set tops out there.

Don't mistake my point here. I am very optimistic about IATV and hold plenty of shares, but estimating the potential of IATV earnings on the basis of the number of NextLevel boxes is not the appropriate scenario IMHO.

May I suggest an analog to IATV....SRSL. It just announced a licensing of its technology for NextLevel boxes, and though the stock moved a little bit, it didn't move it as much as one might expect given the sheer number of boxes. And I don't believe that the SRSL technology requires subscription to it...corrections if I am not accurate are welcome.

Regards,

Ed
