Re <<(Interested in thoughts of others on the thread re this)>>

We might have had some hints re what the Trump meant, and to your take ...

<<The campaign is over, he won, so why make that particular speech, unless he means it? On the other hand, we do not have a Swiss style participatory democracy, so we must elect agents to represent us, and therein exist the agency problem. Is Trump casting himself as the agent of the people against everyone else? Seems possible. I think this has echoes in history.>>

We can now safer guess that ...

(1) he meant it, and may reckon he is not yet done, and may well have just gotten started,

(2) mobilizing the masses, starting w/ 70M, a very decent start

(3) Seems a bit more than possible, for surely folks do not seriously expect the Trump to go quietly into the dusk

(4) echos of history? Could be, mobilization of the masses google.com , people power, conflicts, kinetics, win win win, endurance war google.com , a single spark can start a prairie fire google.com , a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step google.com like so en.wikipedia.org

etc etc etc

Chairman Mao did it in 15 years from the get-go, with 8000 ragtag soldiers surrounded and chased by hundreds of thousands of German advised Nationalist troops, escaped from base camp under siege, went on a march that essentially spread his ideas to everywhere he marched through, and changed a domain of 400M+

This is a good book on revolutionary war books.google.com

I doubt that the Trump is a Mao, and therefore doubt the Trump has what it may take to sustain a revolution until victory. So, one be likely safe to conclude the Trump cannot win should push comes to shove.

But one cannot conclude Trumpism would lose, because Trumpism is a moveable feast, a loose set of ideas amenable to hijacking, as Trump himself seemingly go w/ the flow and ever adapting.

Question now, will there be a de-trumpification movement in the USA, or is USA immune to such ordinary course of developments as that overtakes other domains now and then?

100-days shall better tell.
