Assuming he is also referring to economic disaster he is vastly understating the odds of it.

Even with Trump, which as of now appears to increase the odds of long-term survival of the country, the probability is still extremely low. By "survival" that means as an independent nation of personal and economic freedom and opportunity.

The likelihood of even someone as radical as Trump turning this mess around is remarkably low. Although that doesn't mean zero. Thomas Sowell once put it at about "5%". The election of Trump has undoubtedly improved that number significantly but unless he can make the kinds of massive cuts in government they're talking about and still get himself re-elected, it may be a blip.
