Which is why I referred you to the WCA and CCC. Those were make work jobs when the economy didn't have jobs for millions, and guess what, despite being run by the Gov. (you know, the organization which by definition can't engage in wealth creation or anything else useful per your avg Libertarian's dogma), they did in fact do lots of useful things. In fact, when you visit National Parks you can still see and use many of their creations, 70+ years later.

Tennessee Valley Authority and Hoover Dam were the kind of projects that had lasting positive and productive effects. I would have liked to see the Trillion dollar stimulus spent on something like that. My pick would have been an electric transmission grid project connecting wind/solar farms to population centers. Financers were willing to develop farms in the right places but transmission was prohibitive. With the new admin this is not likely to happen.
