Trump can't target an individual company he has to target an industry with a protective tariff. I really expect, in addition to the rate reduction, something akin to the old §38 Investment Tax Credit or some enhancement of the §179 capital asset expense option. These kinds of tax incentives have been shown to be extremely effective over the years since 1960.
