I don't know much about that topic, but I think tackling patent reform at this time seems like an extremely hard task. Drug companies have to be able to count on sufficient gross margin to offset R&D/Approval costs and turn some multiple of that in profits, otherwise, the capital will go somewhere else. I think this is a big mess and the solution will be negotiated among countries and not between the US and drug companies. I would think Trump would pick up on that.
