You're lucky you can party with friends. Nearly all of mine are Republicans. I was invited to a gathering of sorts (call it a party - though it was a religious event) at a friends house on the day of the inauguration. For the most part I was able to keep my mouth shut.... however one of the gals wore an elegant gown to emulate the first lady and could not stop talking about how pretty Melenia was. I finally had enuf and told her I too thought she was pretty -- indeed, she's drop-dead gorgeous -- AND the only first lady I've ever seen naked. ....lol Then I chided her and the bible thumping (btw, i read the bible everyday) right-wing nut jobs that criticized Michelle Obama for wearing a dress with short sleeves. Some calling it too "informal and out of season" and reminded them that the current first lady was wearing a totally sleeveless dress in the middle of winter to the inaugural ball. Don't get me wrong - I think the first lady was drop-dead gorgeous in her sleeveless gown...and I dont have a problem with either of the first ladies dressing as they see fit. I just despise the hypocrisy of the right which - being hypocrites they naturally just cant see.
