I am simply talking about our society having an emphasis on getting the people educated. If you want to wipe out poverty, and reduce crime, educate the ghettos. Nothing works as well as education to reduce crime and increase productivity and prosperity. Nothing.

The advanced countries on earth have learned that and work hard to advance it. It costs more to go to school in this country than almost any Western democracy. And as a consequence our medical costs are also the highest, because we are too uneducated as a society to understand that we have to quit voting in people (Republicans) that don't want to give us universal healthcare, or affordable education.

That have no real interest in helping the people.

If you want a paradigm to look at, just take the Jews, or the Nordic countries, or South Korea, Taiwan or Japan or Iceland. I'm talking about nothing more than general education.

And 12 years I snot enough for a good education. IMO, it should start at 2.5 years about half time and go to at least 2 years of community college.

Doctors are good at doctering, but they are not particularly good thinkers. Not enough liberal arts. I advise every kid that starts college to make sure they get a good liberal arts education. That allows a person be well-rounded and able to do better higher order thinking.
