I believe intellect is learned, not born. I believe the difference is amount a person studies, not what they were born with. If that was you point. And I think the largest mistake academia has made is not knowing that the longer one studies the smarter they get and I think everyone would do much better if they had a minimum level of study to the PHD level. What makes the great writers/thinkers great, is not innate intelligence, IMO, but long hours of study.
