Lazar, it was, this year does look good.
Here is some news with HLIT in it.

NetGame Introduces MCNS System
NetGame has introduced its complete MCNS system, which includes its
headend known as Quarterback and an internal bi-directional PCI cable
modem known as Juno.
Quarterback features support for both one-way and two-way MCNS cable
modems. The unit includes NetGame's Elastream, a scheduling algorithm
designed to manage upstream resources. The unit also includes a 100 Mbps
Ethernet network interface.
Quarterback is managed by SNMP or NetGame's own windows-based system
known as the Network Control Station [NCS]. With the management system,
NetGame offers an integrated software package for billing,
authentication, maintenance, stats, and reporting modules.
NetGame will be providing its technology to Harmonic Lightwaves, Hayes,
and other vendors.

Cisco & Others Join the 3Com/Bay Interoperability Effort
Cisco has eliminated the threat of creating a camp-driven MCNS market
that lacked interoperability by joining the 3Com/Bay effort to establish
interoperability among all MCNS vendors. Others to join the effort
include Harmonic Lightwaves, NEC, Phasecom and Toshiba. The decision to
join 3Com and Bay was probably spearheaded by the announcement that
Cablelabs would require product certification to become officially
stamped as MCNS compliant.

So we are here, with the big boys. How well will we do? Well CSCO,BAY and COMS do not enter a market until they believe it is ready to explode. Well let the fireworks begin,we are much more efficient than any of these companies.

When I called IR a few weeks back they identified General Instruments as a primary competitor...How do you think this will fit in with NLV and HLIT?
