I've only seen it swing to the Right. When was the last time a Left Wing candidate was nominated for President by the Democrats? 1972. Since then we have had Clinton, who was an avowed Centrist and Obama, who talked the Left Wing talk during the 2008 campaign, but walked away from the platform during his Presidency. What I saw was the biggest military budget in the history of the USA under the Obama administration. Sorry, Obama lied to me and the whole Left Wing of the Party who supported him in 2008. Honestly, Obama turned out to be a farce.

I can agree that there are other issues on the table outside of a good paying job. But I have never depended on the Government for that, as many people do. And for those who do, other issues only matter if they can support their family properly.
