telebob, My recollection (and I haven't found the press release) was that both Lidakol and the placebo "worked", significantly reducing the time to heal the sores, compared to historical untreated controls (but both worked equally well, so the difference between Lidakol & Placebo #1 were not statistically different, with Placebo #1 being slightly better than Lidakol, and both working much better than untreated lesions of "historical" patients).
