So do rappers and blacks in every big city in America.

They imitate the late grand kleagle DEMOCRAT Senator Robert Byrd.

That's your diversion from my post noting that both abortion and slavery are supported by similar amoral reasoning?

Pathetic.

Abortion and slavery: both championed by the Democratic party.

Driver With Concealed Carry Permit Shoots His Way Out Of Philly Robbery

Posted at 8:37 am on January 24, 2017 by Bob Owens

A pizza delivery driver was lured into an ambush in Philadelphia (PA) Monday evening in which two gunmen demanded all the cash he was carrying, and the pizzas they’d ordered to an abandoned home.

When they opened fire on him, he pulled his lawfully concealed handgun and gave them lead instead.

A pizza deliveryman was shot during an attack in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 7:05 p.m. Monday at 54th and Yocum streets.

Police say the 36-year-old man was delivering an order to what turned out to be a vacant home.

When the deliveryman arrived, he knocked on the door and two armed men emerged from an adjacent home.

Police say they shot the deliveryman man once in the left arm and once in the left side.

The victim dropped the pizzas and pulled out his own gun.

He fired a few shots, but it is not known if the suspects were struck.

A firearm is not a talisman that will magically make bad guys disappear… but it sure seems to be the next best thing in many instances.

In this all-too-common type of driver ambush, the criminals had the upper hand from the very beginning, and the pizza delivery driver did the right thing in attempting to put distance between himself and the bad guys. He was shot at while running and then drew his lawfully-concealed handgun and returned fire, sending the bad guys scurrying for cover.

Was this a successful defensive gun use, despite the fact that the delivery driver was shot twice and it doesn’t appear that either bad guy was hit? Gun control activists might make that argument… but they’ve never been unfairly accused of being “too smart,” either.

The point of having a gun for self-defense is the preservation of your life and the lives of those you choose to try to protect, whether they are family, friends, or strangers. In this instance the delivery driver used his gun to return fire in an unprovoked attack and force a pair of armed robbers to retreat.

This was clearly a successful defensive gun use, if not an ideal one where only the bad guys get hurt. The delivery driver used his gun and it saved his life.

Chalk up another life saved by a citizen exercising the natural human right to bear arms.

Armed Store Clerk Takes Down Thief During Robbery in Phoenix

Posted at 5:25 pm on January 18, 2017 by Storm Paglia
Last week in Phoenix, a 17-year-old male attempted an armed robbery at a gas station – but it didn’t go as planned. The store clerk was armed himself and wasn’t going to give up without a fight.

When the suspect demanded that the clerk open the register and hand over the money, the clerk drew his own gun and shot the suspect in the arm. As the suspect attempted to flee the scene on his bike, he realized his “arm didn’t work” and went to a nearby restaurant to seek help, as reported by ABC 15 Arizona.

It was there that the police responded, and the suspect admitted why he targeted gas stations: “They are supposed to just hand over the money and not try to stop anyone.”

He picked the wrong gas station.

The suspect has been charged with armed robbery for an additional crime in the days preceding this shooting and attempted armed robbery for the incident with this gas station.

Florida Convenience Store Robber Shot By Concealed Carrier

Posted at 9:19 am on January 26, 2017 by Bob Owens

A would-be robber who pointed a gun at a convenience store clerk this morning should have paid more attention to the other customers in the store, such as the one carrying a concealed handgun.

Investigators in Florida say a legally armed customer shot a man in the thigh during an attempted robbery at a Tampa Bay area gas station.

Pasco County Sheriff’s officials say in a news release that the shooting happened just before 7 a.m. Thursday in Wesley Chapel, which is north of Tampa.

According to authorities, the man entered the Marathon gas station, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. That’s when the customer shot him in the right thigh. A sheriff’s deputy who arrived at the scene subdued the suspect at the front door. He was flown to a hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening.

Texas Homeowner Fires Back at Would-Be Armed Intruders

Posted at 12:44 pm on January 24, 2017 by Jenn Jacques

A homeowner in Oak Cliff, TX was forced to fight back after armed robbers relentlessly tried to break into his home.

Terry Morgan said at 4:30 am Saturday morning, his home on Lea Crest Drive sounded the same as it always did around that time.

“I’m asleep like everyday working Americans,” Morgan said.

But that quickly changed as Morgan, alerted by the sound of a break-in, looked at his home surveillance system and got a good picture of two home intruders at his front door; one armed with a rifle and one actively trying to pry open his door.

Morgan didn’t wait around like a sitting duck.

“I’m thinking fight or flight,” Morgan said, recalling how he laid down on his living room floor with one eye on the monitor providing a view of what was happening on the other side of his front door.

“I’m looking to see if they are going to get in,” Morgan said.

When they did not, the two suspects walked off the front porch and out of camera view. Morgan said he tried to track their movement from inside the home but when he wiped away condensation from another window to improve his view, the suspects opened fire.

That’s when Morgan leapt into action, popping out of his house and returning fire on the pair of would-be armed robbers.

“It was a startling experience,” Morgan said. “I’m not going to say that I was pretty much afraid but you know it was my life or their life. And pretty much I like living.”

Authorities say two male suspects and a female were seen on security footage standing on Morgan’s porch shortly before the men appeared on the video.

DPD describes all three as being 20-25 years old. The female is described as 5’5” tall, 180 pounds, light skin, heavy-set, possibly blonde colored weaved hair, wearing a long-sleeve white or tan shirt with buttons and tan blue jeans. The first male suspect is approximately 5’10” tall, 160 pounds, thin build, wearing a beanie cap and a long- sleeve jacket. The second male suspect is described as 5’8” tall, 200 pounds, stocky build, wearing a gray hoodie and black beanie cap.

“That’s When I Lit Him Up.” Concealed Carrier Explains Shooting Robber

Posted at 10:28 am on January 24, 2017 by Bob Owens

All Detroit resident Dennis and his girlfriend Latanya wanted was to pick up dinner in west side Detroit’s E&S Carry Out Shrimp Shack on McNichols Road. Instead, what they got was an armed robbery attempt that forced Dennis to draw his lawfully-concealed weapon and shoot the robber to the ground.

As customers waited for their orders, they suddenly found themselves in danger.

“I would have given him money if he asked for money,” Dennis said.

But the attempted robber wasn’t begging, instead demanding cash at gunpoint.

“Just shocked we were getting robbed,” Latanya said.

Dennis and his girlfriend, Latanya, didn’t have much time to react. The couple and another customer started throwing their money and wallets on the floor.

“It wasn’t a plan. It was just instinct. He had the gun in my girl’s face,” Dennis said.

But little did the robber know Dennis was ready and waiting for an opportunity.

“When I saw he had the gun in her face, and I threw my wallet down and keys, he turned to look and get the money, that’s when I lit him up,” Dennis said.

Dennis pulled out his gun, striking the robber once in the stomach. He then kicked the robber’s gun away, then tended to the robber turned-victim.

.......
In the video (above), Dennis points out that he felt bad about having to shoot the armed robber, but that he felt he had no choice as the robber was pointing the gun at Latanya. He waited for an opportune moment, drew his lawfully-concealed handgun, and shot the bad guy in the stomach.

The bad guy is very fortunate that Dennis didn’t fire more than one bullet. It’s very common in scenarios like these for the good guy to fire a volley of rapid-fire shots once they’ve determined lives are in danger at close range, and that they need to put the bad guy down hard and fast. It’s not uncommon for well-trained shooters to lay down 4-6 shots in a couple of seconds in a scenario like this, and Dennis would likely have been legally justified in expending more rounds than he did, with every round fired tearing up more tissue and increasing the probability of the robber’s wounds turning fatal.

Dennis concludes his interview by warning the young, violent criminals that many of the “gray hairs” in Detroit—seasoned citizens like himself—have obtained their concealed carrier permits and are packing heat, and that bad guys like the attempted robber will never be able to tell who is armed and who is not. If criminals target the wrong victim they might not only end up captured, they could also end up dead.

Armed citizens perform an important role in crime deterrence.

Let’s get more well-armed and well-trained concealed carriers out there to make sure that violent crime doesn’t come without an unacceptably high risk to the criminals.
