The wall separating east and west Germany had towers with armed guards, razor wire, and land mines ... still people got across. East Germany built the wall - to keep their citizens in rather than having them leaving the East German socialistic paradise in masses. The Mexican wall is aimed at keeping all those illegal immigrants out, who are trying their best to enter the US for a better life - or in order to establish a US enclave of their imagined new worldwide Caliphate.
