Greg, I heard that IBM placed an extremely large order on socket 7 system with Acer. However, I have no idea about its volume at all. Thanks for the link to Acer's news. It is quite interesting to find that Acer is going to use 386SX (from C&T or Cyrix or AMD?) for their $199 XC. ali.com.tw

Greg, Re: "Yousef, Here is what you should be worried about." This is the least of my worries ... The Dresden Fab won't be on line for at least another year. AMD can't even transfer a process from Sunnyvale to Austin ... how will they bring up a Fab in Germany on the .25um process?? It's good Nus that Motorola and Siemens are also building a Fab in Dresden ... maybe they can take over the AMD Fab when AMD runs out of money and needs to sell!! Make It So, Yousef
