I have no problem with an ID. As I have stated before. The problem I have is with the barriers to get them. They are significant and the difficulties are weighted against the poor. Which seems to be by design.

So the way they are implemented makes them the equivalent of a poll tax.


Fraud is hard to find. That's why it is fraud.

Right. But that doesn't mean it is impossible. Which seems to be the case. Why is that? Could it be that the cases are vanishingly small? I mean, it has been established there is voter fraud for mail in ballots. Not a huge number, but many, many more than discovered cases of in person voter fraud. A lot of Republicans have been caught perpetrating it. Yet no Republican legislature has done anything to curb it. I suppose the fact that more Republican voters favor mail in ballots as opposed to Democratic voters has nothing to do with it...
