"Obviously, God attributed a great deal of respect unto Moses, seemingly as much as he does to born again believers that have the right and priveledge of direct contact with God through Christ Jesus."

11: Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Gregor,
I appologize that I did not see the first sentence that this was an on going study. Taken in context I understand better. The verse I quoted can still apply to your study for even though God did not allow Moses to enter the promised land at that time He still loved Moses very much as He does all of His people even in their sins. I don't think God has a problem with seperating the sin from the person like we do. Again I apologize.
