Harmful, schmarmful, many of our daily pursuits/choices/addictions are harmful, but it is not the business of the government to prohibit them. I'm not a libertarian, but I play one at SI... If the participants are unwilling, let'em go to a damn fern bar. I may add, if the legislature of any reasonably civilized state proposed such a ban, it would be overthrown. Violently.

I had a dream last night that we were supposed to meet at our new Costco at 9:00 am. (which actually won't open til spring) You were going to show me how to get the best deals and the techniques of shopping at Costco. When I actually woke up at 9:30, having gone back to bed after seeing Dan off on a business trip at 6, I saw the time and thought, Oh shit, X is going to kill me. I have felt bad all day. So I apologize and hope you didn't wait too long for me to show up.
