I would have been ok with it if that was the case, but it is not...not for all of them anyway. Iran is not in turmoil - or a lot less than most of their neighbors. Pakistan on the other hand is both a failed state and home to highly militant Islamists. Yet it is not on the list.

And regardless of how much turmoil a country is in, you it's insane to ban a green card holder who has her home and children here but went on to visit her parents. This is not hypothetical. A Yale professor's wife went to see her mom with her newborn and now she can't come home to her husband.
