No that doesn't sound good. There should be a progress bar showing how far along the clone is.

Click the mouse or hit the spacebar to see if anything comes up on the screen.

Did the computer restart with the Acronis software after Windows shutdown?

Something else is that it might help to remove the thumb-drive and try again.

Before you attempt the clone again though, look at the SSD with Explorer to see if there is any data on it.

Also and this isn't critical for the clone working, but the type of USB port will affect how fast the clone is done.

You may or may not have USB 3.0 and that is blue and the second choice is USB 2.0 that is black, but USB 1.0 which is white is the slowest.

Here's a picture and these are male USB connectors, but the female USB ports on your computer case will be color coded the same way.
