The problem here is that it clearly was NOT unconstitutional. So, when she disobeyed the order she actually showed that she doesn't understand the law and hence should not be in the position of Acting AG. There is no real doubt that Trump's EO was constitutional, from what I've seen.

So, if she understood the law she would not have disobeyed the order other than just being political. Any way you look at this she made the wrong decision. But it was hers to make.

The oath is to enforce the constitution and the AG should follow it. But if the AG and the president disagree strongly enough about what the constitution requires, it makes sense for the AG to follow her conscience right out of office.
