No, I have never had a drug addict in my life; just a stalker (woman) who was addicted to me and couldn't accept that the relationship was over. I understand the situation in CA: Trump's immigration ban is a threat to all the illegals in CA and the high tech companies in Silicon valley who depend on Muslims to read code. My primary issue with the OP (Wharf Rat) was when he said that CA "don't seem to have much in common with the rest of the country."

I do think it's an option also. But I think Trump would go to war with CA (and any other State) that tried to secede, if it passed.

"I would view the CA solution the plan B emergency chute"
I view invading Mexico as an emergency.
Mexican government says Trump never threatened to send troops to ...

But, yeah. It's a long slow process

"certainly would come after them with all guns blazing,"
They had better use metaphorical guns.

If a Calexit referendum in California succeeded, of course, it would only take effect if the rest of the country went along with it. That would mean a constitutional amendment requiring two-thirds votes in Congress and ratification by three-fourths of the states, or the first constitutional convention since 1787. The only alternative, unilateral secession, was tried in 1861, as close scholars of history could tell you, and it did not work out well.

"Remember H. received the more votes, "
Yup, and the Dems picked up a few seats in each house.
