The person who's going to have a very difficult job is Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State, which is why I've suggested he may resign after a few years.

Unlike Trump, Tillerson has a lot of experience negotiating good deals with foreign leaders.

But Rex is going to have a huge problem managing Donald Trump
. Tillerson is going to have to explain to Donald each time why Donald isn't going to get his way and Tillerson will have to ride out the chaos Trump causes as he tries to interfere in situation by calling and threatening foreign leaders himself, telling lies and making wild public comments.

As foreign leaders stand firm with Trump's tantrums, the only real negotiating will be done with Tillerson. If Trump's behavior doesn't change, foreign leaders will simply be less available to receive Trump's phone calls because no one has time to have extended conversations with 2 year old who can't control himself.

Tillerson will also need to be especially firm with Trump in dealing with Russia, because Trump is going to be prone to giving away too much to people who flatter him.

Tillerson knows from experience how little Putin can be trusted so any deals need to be structured so they don't leave us at a disadvantage if they suddenly fall apart at some point. Steve Bannon and Trump both imagine they're brilliant strategists, but they're going to have to be willing to learn from Tillerson.
