I am a follower of Gandy and Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela. I do not believe in violence. It is terrible what they're doing and counterproductive and if I run across one of them I will give them a piece of my mind-lol.

But you're wrong about your broadbrush ideas about people in Congress. If you want to see some righteous people look at the 18 Democratic women senators. Those are serious decent and intelligent people doing everything in their power to make this a better country for everyone.

I wish I could say the same for the female senators on the right.-

The extremes are clearly definable. The average person on the street is flexible and willing to think liberally about what is happening in the world, while taking conservative positions on things they feel need to be secured or cared for. A conservative is an environmentalist in the genuine sense. A liberal would be considering the new government situation with a completely open mind.

Extremists are tethered to partisan platforms and have no need to consider the merit of those platforms very far. Sure you might be authentically committed to one or a few extreme issues, but when any and every talking point demands your hardened rhetoric, you have no individuality left. You bow to the party. I don't like to be blunt but these threads are set up so extremists can ossify positions to the point of hyperbole. The challenge for us is to avoid being caught up in that.
