If I had to pinpoint a time it would be in 1998 when two major events occurred: The "Pause" began, and Michael Mann published the so-called "Hockey Stick" paper which was statistical bullshit yet managed to get many followers onboard with the subsequent book. Other important times include the release of the emails which proved that the science was totally bogus, as well as each of the IPCC events, in which the lies got bigger while the science got more screwed up. And recently, the decision of Judith Curry to walk away from her tenured position, essentially because she recognized that science is not the most important factor in trying to control the dialog. There were others but these times were big. As to the ancient crap you post it is useless. When you're trying to measure warming in tenths and 100ths of degrees, measurements taken 100 years ago when instruments were not that precise are beyond useless; they are misleading.
