It cooled a little bit after the 40's because of lack of pollution controls causing particulates in the air blocking the sun. There was a big problem with acid rain because of sulphur in coal.

Our smog made it cool down for 30 years .Then we started cleaning the air. Right now, China is masking some warming.

Forget global warming, pollution can actually COOL the planet: Aerosols from burning fossil fuels may protect some regions from the effects of climate change

Sulphur-containing aerosols in the atmosphere reflect sunlight into space This means less heat is absorbed by the Earth and so makes it cooler Man-made aerosols are released as pollution from burning coal and dieselIt suggests temperatures will rise even as fossil fuel use is decreased

Good work of the USEPA that Dump wants to destroy...

For the science illiterate and ignorant, hydrogen ion concentration is the measure of acidity. Lower pH means higher acidity (funny isn't it?). The Clean Air act did miracles to eliminate the acid precipitation problem. BTW low pH in waterways, not only means killing off Meiofauna and fish, but also the mobilization of heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, arsenic, which get into OUR water supply.

Make America (and Canada, because bad air crosses borders) Acid Again
