I can't find a reason to disagree with you. I am still looking for a broad explanation of why the risk of "Philosophical correction" is counter to what you said. This seems to be the fear directed at a Scalia type representation on the Supreme Court.

The philosophy underlying the Constitution is Enlightenment philosophy. Would you be opposed to more emphasis on property rights or other rights referenced in Enlightenment philosophy??

But I think you probably understand it better than Will. I have been reading him for 50 years and found him to be a totally repugnant man, dishonest and who seldom gets anything right.

<<o it's Congress's job to write laws to please the majority and the Judiciary's job to make sure that the majority isn't trampling on the natural rights each of us has as claimed in the Declaration in addition to the stated Constitutional rights. To me this is the essence of what this country is about.
