My point was that we seem nowadays to vilify our founding fathers. Yes they were elitist, wealthy, educated, white and often slave owners. In general by todays standards not really that nice. However, look at the framework they gave us to work with to evolve and improve our nation. Look at other nations. People refer to India as the largest democracy on earth and yet it is one of the largest slaver nations in present day still, or has that changed in the past few years? How many nations globally still have and promote slavery that sit at the UN and also some on the Security council? We are fortunate that we were given a framework from the beginning that lets us evolve. No we are not perfect but we still are the most powerful nation and richest nation on earth and for every fault we have people flock here for hope.
