Yeah, it is amazing how a few troublemakers cause the majority of the problems. Then again, just ask the police how just a handful in a city of a million can make their jobs rough too.

I thought I did a pretty decent job of giving up commentary on the mental health of those who don't agree with me and I work hard to not call names back from the days 20 years ago I started doing moderation and hosting on another site that was trying to be what facebook became.

The key seems to be removing any "rewards" so even my commentary here publicly means if he's stalking all my posts, he'll get a reward for being noticed. The reward now is his vulgar insults to the handful of us on that board that think a high risk penny stock has potential stay forever for those who might find the board doing research about the stock. When they see people making positive comments, then they can read our posts on other boards and see the strange recs..... but my guess is most don't know the history and think those recs are actually good things so he's probably shooting holes in his feet.

My guess is you don't want to completely vanish all of the work of some posters who might be having a bad period (quality posts have value to the site) so maybe a "scrubbing feature" for the moderators like you to go back and remove all traces of the names and their recs for certain periods of time...?
