Now that story is just too funny.

The panels in the picture from your posted story are just like mine.

They were manufactured by the same company that made mine twenty five years ago for my Stuart Island home.



The picture of me above is with the surplus panels that were manufactured in 1991.

They were removed from a home in So. Cal. about 14 years ago and installed by me in 2003. A good friend of mine called me up and said they were available and were removed and were surplus to a job he was working on. All I had to do was pay the shipping.

Zero failures since that time.

The ocean is to the left of the picture about 100 feet away.

The PV's all get soaked with salt water spray every winter here during windstorms.

Tell you what....

Come up here and we will remove any panel you select that you see in the picture above and we will take it down to dock tie a rope on it and we will submerge it for a couple weeks in the ocean.

Then we will pull it out of the water.

I know that the PV panel will still work.

The invitation is open.

PV panels manufactured today by Tier One suppliers are even better and more durable.
