Kate,

The opposition to the travel moratorium is based on lies and Fake News.

Take this from NBC:

What little is known of Robart, who's based out of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington state, suggests that he is a soft-spoken yet fearless man — someone of deep convictions and a jurist who does not mince words.

He suggested in court that Trump's 90-day entry ban on people from the countries of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen was not "rationally based," since no one from any those countries had been arrested in the U.S. on terrorism-related charges since 9/11.

This is absurd:

My home is in a Columbus, OH suburb - so are the Judge and the media saying we are not part of the United States?

Also from NBC: nbcnews.com

The suspect at Ohio State was a Somali brought to the US from Pakistan through the auspices of Catholic Charities. But I guess the 'Judge' is narrowly correct - he was killed in the attack, so he wasn't arrested.

Also in Columbus:

cbsnews.com

dispatch.com

So 2 Somali terrorists in Columbus alone.

The other guy? A typical everyday American - Hashim Hanif Ibn Abdul-Rasheed origin not identified. But I wonder where he was born.

I think Trump knows we need a permanent ban on Muslims and this tentative one was the wrong way to go from the start, IMO. However, very few people have my POV on this subject. If Trump had pushed it as a war measure his voters would have backed him, I think.

The outrage from the left is so big I don't know where we are headed. The problem now is Congress. They can't stand up to the media and the riots.

It gave the media the perfect way to ignore the freedom of speech issues at play,
The media don't believe in freedom of speech for you and I, only for themselves. They would never have covered liberal rioters.
