So much for "intellectual honesty", the fact is that LOGIC doesn't work for everything. A classic example is Quantum Mechanics. You could be wrong in the end...
You can be wrong in any aspect of science......eg you start an experiment that you designed to show that you know how something works but alas, the results show something entirely different is going on....that's what good about science, not bad.... I've had it happen many times but the "bad" result almost always leads you in a new direction that will eventually teach you the mechanism of the phenomenon you're studying....

That isn't done in religion, eg there are witnesses who claim they saw a man walk on water.....no one questioned how that was possible, no one tried to experiment and see if they could do it or try to find out what make the walk in water possible..... Maybe it was simply the a fact that the water was only 1/2 inch deep.....or the guy was wearing pontoon shoes on the Dead Sea.... incidentally you can't sink in the Dead Sea but it's damn tough to stand straight....
