from my experience with elected knesset members the big majority cares only to be re-elected, and collect bribes in forms that cannot clearly defined as such.

In their so called work for the greater good, they are interested only in what does most headlines and advertising for themselves They accomplish actually very little if at all, aside from self-promotion and if there is a legislation drafted is not their own work, but those of others with special interests , but still they take the credit for it.

In Israel I was told that if law would have been properly enforced at least 1/3 would be sentenced to jail time and this from the National Fraud Investigation Commander of the Israeli police.

No wonder present Israel PM is under 3 possible now 4 investigations of criminal conduct related to bribes and "donations" including in cash

........ and he is not even thinking of resigning, as those are "alternate news" instigated by his political rivals

the Judiciary system and Law enforcement is not much better not to mention the many municipalities rife with corruption
