Illegally Dispensed Medical Advice On The Internet: Re warts ~ I believe (ahem) the dermatologival concensus on treating warts is freezing by liquid nitrogen. This leaves minimal scarring, and generally effects the root as well. Warts go away on some people, and on others they won't, and may multiply. They blow the nitrogen out of a hairspray-like container and lickety-split the little thing is frozen and disintegrates in a week or so. If G.P. doesn't have it, dermatologist will; and he can also learn you about any other things you might find stuck to yourself, like possums or puters or said Honda. For instance, you could learn that the coloration of genital epidermis naturally darkens after age forty, in both sexes. Or that perineal growths are particularly interesting treatments with that brown-eyed beauty standing over there. But don't be nervous; you'll never see her again.

Historical footnote: Dermatological questions seem frequent on SI; and I remember "Dermatologist" used to hang out on the RDRT or PAIR (or some) thread; he linked Gene Siskel's favorite website, "Skin Conditions of the Stars".
(Like I sed, just a footnote.)
