It's a big deal coming from a high-ranking Ph.D. In the end, satellite data will prove to be right. 2016 was still tied with 1998 for 'hottest' in satellite era (as the decreasing sea-ice in 2016 shows), however the claims of 2014 & 2015 being the hottest years in sequence before 2016 are just fake news from manipulated data.

NOAA & NASA chose politics over science, and it's a shame. However, we're not surprised ;)

But the warmers don't like what satellite data show the past 30 years despite increasing CO2.
