Gene: Thanks for the link, the article was indeed interesting. If what Ashok is saying is true, then this might be a good opportunity to get a couple of 'note-book' computers.

I find some of the his assertions hard to digest.Could this be my metabolism or this guy knows something we don't. Or is he one of those hot shot analysts who gets their 15 min of fame and then just fade away,in Ashok's case perhaps vansih into the Himalayan mountains not to be heard from again.

1.Japan: I thought they were in a recession already for the last few years.I recall Nekkei at 50,000 a few years ago and now it stands below 15,000, and the 'fall' did not just happen recently. Also their realestate market and domestic economy haven't been doing very well either. I wouldn't call this a recent phenomenon.

2.Intel Price cuts: Ashok speak of an impending price cut about to happen on Jan.25th.I remember Intel cutting prices a few weeks ago
to everyone's surprise. This is not hardly a surprise or is it?

3.Kumar speaks of all this price cuts (which we already know about)
and at the same time keep talking about improved ASP.What is that
all about.
