I don't know if it makes a difference, but it certainly IS institutionalized in the North, even today. What do you think the MINIMUM WAGE IS? Institutionalized Racism, guaranteeing that the poorest among us -- mostly black -- will not be able to find work. And in areas where minimum wage is highest, the problem is worse than any other places in America.

You may want to think about the fact that these protests -- black lives matter, etc., are not about the South. They're about St. Louis. NYC. Chicago.

You think northern prison and justice systems aren't institutionalized racism?

We continue to provide free health care benefits to the poorest communities -- which include a disproportionate number of black families -- while higher income families who are struggling to make ends meet still pay for their own.

I'm sorry, but you think your hands are clean you are full of shit. There is at least as much institutionalized racism in other parts of the country as there is in the south. And I would argue more.
