I believe you get the same kind of traction as being long the stock,
with a lot less capital outlay.

Never deployed this strategy, but I have had tens of thousands
of dollars of long options expire worthless.

My valuable education, -g-

Would be curious about a realtime example of the synthetic call,
and to weigh the margin requirements it imposes.
